OUR MISSION

TO MAKE IT EASIER TO LOVE AND BE LOVED

Hi. I’m Jared.

After a devastating breakup in April of 2016, I gathered a dozen friends for, what I called, a “town hall about love, sex, and relationships.” In reality, it was just a group of us with our feet up on the furniture sharing stories from our love lives. The conversation was supposed to be from 7-9pm. I think we wrapped up at around 1am. The stories were vulnerable and inspiring. I needed to know more. And it turned out, I wasn’t alone.

By 2019, I had hosted the town hall about love, sex, and relationships for more than five thousand people across a dozen countries. The people identified in all the ways. Their stories ranged from celebrations of joy and pleasure to the navigation of pain and loss. After nearly fifty town halls, I decided that I needed a break. I wanted to reflect, write, and travel.

Then in March of 2020, the world changed. Humanity was forced into quarantine as we faced a global health crisis with no end in sight. If there is one thing my explorations with Touchpoint showed me, it’s that human beings cannot thrive in isolation––we need to touch and be touched physically, emotionally, and spirituall

With a looming crisis of connection, I decided to create a new space online: the Touchpoint Daily Check-In. I began logging in every night at 6pm EST and hanging out with whoever decided to join me. At first, it was one or two people. Then three or four. Over time, the group began to grow.

Then, I created a space for them to continue the conversation outside of the check-in: the Community Chat on Telegram.

The last piece of the puzzle would be bringing our town hall online and expanding beyond just romantic love and talking about human connection in general. And so we started the Sunday Town Hall.

What was once just a small event in my friend’s living room has grown to become a global community of people who believe that human connection is our purpose on earth. Our mission is to make it easier to love and be loved, and we do that by creating spaces and experience for people to connect more deeply with themselves, their loved ones, their communities, and the world.

Every day, my objective is to create and collect evidence that the world is safe and people are good. And that’s precisely why I cannot wait to meet you.

Thanks for being here.

Here. We. Go.

Love, Jmw.
